Announcing AZL weathered cars! was created by Alaska Railroader
Stonebridge Models/Z Train Things is starting a new series of weathered AZL runner packs and singles. All sets and singles are brand new off the shelf and painted. We will have many more sets for sale at our booth at the National Train Show July 8-10 in Sacramento. Many of you will not be there so we’ll start offering these sets online now.
The first in the series is this set of four TILX – 3564 Gondolas with four different numbers, weathered beautifully all around with a bonus feature of real dirt/rock residue inside each car. Each set is a one of a kind so first come first gets it. Cost is $125 plus shipping to your location. Next offering will be soon so keep checking the forums for the announcement. We will have different body styles and different road names coming. This is a limited time offer or until stock sells out.

May I ask... Who performed the weathering?

Well Alex,
It wasn't Gerd. When I tell folks I need to clone myself or have helping hands I'm not kidding.
We have found a guy who is into weathering military vehicles and especially tanks so I asked him if he would maybe try his hand at train related items. So this is not our weathering, but the handy work of another.
Actually we have found several folks who are into weathering, even our mail man is into it big time.
Might I suggest that folks give their local hobby shop a look see and see if you can find a local hobbyist who likes to weather. There's a lot of military interest in this area so we are fortunate to have found him. And no, he does not paint houses :o)

Can't be my stuff, that's better! Cool idea with the left-overs inside. Have to keep this in mind, I have enough dirt in my backyard....
