Small chassis and more - Only good news
This news from the sweat shop of the bodacious locomotive making genius Lajos Thek:
"The already proven to be very powerful and well running little R4-11-8 chassis just got better. All the components that required extra attention before and during the assembly process are replaced by the best possible quality components, produced exclusively for L.G.Thek Brasswork. The running characteristics of ths small power house are way above expectations. Results of various tests and individual feedbacks are in. One extreme test proved the unmatched dependability of the design. Prior to the Sacramento NTS, Don Fedjur (ZoCal member and highly regarded Z-scale innovator) ran a DCC decoder equipped R4-11-8 chassis eight days (192 Hrs) continuously, on Rokuhan tracks and turnouts, switching directions once a day... The chassis is still running good. Now, we're building inventory. Just in case, I'll have the chassis available this weekend at the Pomona GTE show, also, they're ready for immediate shipment at L.G.Thek Brasswork and Stonebridge Models . New products are coming soon. Beside various shells for the small chassis, the 9'-0" scale wheel base powered chassis, the 8'-0" and 9'-0" "dummy" trucks with all wheel power pick-up, also, replacement bottom plates with attached EMD, Alco and (in the near future) Blomberg, etc truck side frames. The artwork for the RS1 brass shell kit to fit over the MTL GP chassis is near complete, release date to be announced shortly."
