Besides the larger knob, is there any other difference or improvements over previous versions of the 9 Volt Snail Speed Controllers?

Does the new shipment of Zthek Universal Snail Speed Controllers include the larger knob design or any other improvements?

Follow-up questions ... as TechRep asked, do any of the new product designs apply to the Universal controller as well?

Also, is the 9V AC-adapter power to the Universal controller done via the single tethered cable or do you have to plug the adapter right into the controller itself? Certainly would seem inconvenient if two cables to the controller were needed.

Thanks, Brad

Brad,

The design changes and upgraded electronics only apply to the 9volt battery controller at this time. The Universal controllers have not been changed, but may once the current inventory is depleted.

The wall adapter does plug into the Universal Controller. This makes handling much easier, plus you can removed the wall adapter completely when running off of battery.

Here is the image from our website of the Universal. You can easily see the plug on the adapter. Also, on the universal controller, you can see the spot to plus the adapter in just to the left of the two leads that run to the track.

OK, I suppose that one could take the power adapter cable and bind it up in some way with the other leads to imitate a single cable, assuming that the length of the two cables are reasonably close.

Based on your answer, it appears that the Universal controller isn't getting the design refresh just yet.
