Anyrail module templates

Does anyone have any Anyrail templates for any of the Z track modules available for download?

I not familiar with Z track. I'd like to read the standard.

Are you asking about Z-Bend Track modules or something that ZTrack Magazine has done? Stony's link above will get you to the standards for Z-Bend Track. I think I may have one or two Anyrail trackplans for Z-Bend track modules.....just 2' x 4' straight-through modules though.

I would like to do a standard Z-scale module to take to shows. Is Z-bend the accepted standard?

If you have a plan for a 2x4, that would be great. I can modify to suit my needs. I'm hoping I can find enough locals in the Kansas City, Mo. area for a club that would help spur interest in Z.

My 24x48x2.5 modules are not per any standard. They are shorter and lighter. I plan to exhibit them as table top modules at shows (like Thomas) and operate them as table layouts at home.

I should be cutting parts in less than a month. I work at a cabinet shop and we are swamped at the moment. Darn economy. Even though I am using Rokuhan track with the built in roadbed, I'm also going to cut 1/2" thick foam insulation so I can elevate the track. It makes it easier to make cuts and fills.

Z-Bend Track is the most widely used module standard in the United States. There is a list of groups in Ztrack Magazine.

Here are 2 track plans using Rokuhan track but you can use any track you like. They are basically 2 sets of main lines located 9" and 10" from the center of the module set back 2 1/8 " from the ends of the module.




One is fairly simple and the other will allow you to run a train on your module whether you're connected to other modules or not. I hope this will encourage you to build a module.....or two.....or three.....

Actually it was this super cool Powder River Coal Flood loader kit by Stonebridge Models that prompted me to build a module. I have a small coffee table layout that was just too small to use it in. So a module would allow me to have my coal mine, and hopefully meet up with other local Z-scalers while promoting Z scale at the same time. I used to belong to a local HO club and enjoyed setting up at the shows and running trains.

I have to say that I found this VERY enlightening! I hope to see this kind of set up in Cleveland this summer.

Thomas, can you save the Anyrail file of the figure 8 module so we can download it. Or: print, handwrite, scan and repost so that we can recreate.

That's a good idea module. We can use as a stand-alone or, a module (layout) joiner.

Any updates on your progress with your Z modules? From the photos, it looks like you pre-fabed a bunch of sections (probably more than one person should have to be responsible for).
