My thanks and my respect to the man who single-handedly pulled me back into Z scale with his bright imaginative approach and his utterly contagious enthusiasm.

I am especially sorry to hear about the health issues, and I wish DKS all the best. That Z is not an ideal scale to work with under such circumstances is all too obvious.

I hope the souring towards the scale will pass, and I do hope that N scale will rekindle DKS's enthusiastic ingenuity.

I am glad that David is still fighting his problems and is continuing on with Model Railroading. He has given us so much in his writings that it will take me a long time to digest everything that he has given us even though I have read almost all of it once. You have read it a second time and third and forth and etc to appreciate his writings. And for those of us that were able to view his final work realize his special skills in giving us a realistic view because he started from what we see in our everyday lives and shrunk it down to give us a perception that our brain could would accept and think it was real.
Again Thank you David for that you gave us while you were in Z scale
